The southeast of the island is a paradise for beach holidays and sun lovers and offers a turquoise coloured sea and long white sandy beaches. One of the most beautiful bays is the Caló des Moro. The best known is the Es Trenc beach. Cala D'Or the "Gold Coast" with snow-white houses in the Ibicencan style offers great boutiques, good restaurants and bars. The sunrises are legendary. Colonia Sant Jordi is the starting point for boat tours to Cabrera, a protected diving paradise and in the port of Porto Colom you can sit in a restaurant or bar and watch the fishermen sorting the nets.
The weekly market in Santanyi is known all over the island and always worth a visit. Many small exclusive boutiques can be found in the alleys. Cyclists find ideal conditions in the southeast and water sports enthusiasts get 100% at their expense. Surrounded by vines, time seems to have stood still in Felanitx. Enjoy the Majorcan wine in one of the street cafés or indulge in the culinary delicacies.

Something Went Wrong
Worth seeing towns are among others Portocolom, allegedly the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, with the largest natural harbor of Mallorca, the artist town Felanitx and the typical Balearic resort Cala d'Or with numerous restaurants and popular diving bays. Here you can find for everyone a nice vacation home or a beautiful finca, which invite you to a relaxing vacation in the southeast of Mallorca. Near Santanyí, which is known for its church organ building, stretches the Parc Natural de Mondragó, a nature park in which the endangered tortoises of Mallorca, among other animal and plant species have found their protection.
And if you want to overlook the imposing landscape of the southeast of Mallorca, you can climb the 500-meter high mountain Puig de Sant Salvador, with its serpentines lined with pine trees. On weekends and evenings, on the other hand, you can party until the wee hours in the small village of Cas Concos with its many clubs and bars, and on Sundays you can stroll through the large weekly market of Felanitx.
The green mountain ranges of the Serres de Llevant stretch almost along the entire southeast coast. The fertile hilly landscape impresses with its variety of colors and is, next to Binissalem, the largest wine-growing area on the island. In this area you will always come across the landmark of Mallorca - the windmills with their colorfully painted large windmills.
Southeast dream beach of Es Trenc
From the up-and-coming, beautiful Portocolom with its unique natural inland harbor, its picturesque old town and its elegant restaurants situated along the wide harbor promenade, this fascinating landscape continues via the old Moorish small town of Felanitx to Santanyi, known for its colorful market days on one of the most beautiful plazas of the island, to the small romantic fishing village Cala Figuera, embedded in the natural park Mondragó, down to the salt flats of Colònia de Sant Jordi with its famous white dream beach Es Trenc - also called the Caribbean of Mallorca. Along the way you will also encounter the resort of Cala d'Or, with its famous marina and its characteristic buildings in Ibizan style.
